![]() It has a calendar, so you can organise yourself more easily. Tick tick had a couple of features that I thought would be handy as I used them already but in separate apps. I don’t share projects or work with a team as I am more of a lone wolf when it comes to work so a lot of the functionality on some of these apps is lost too. Again, quite a lot of the apps did a lot of these things but add in reliability and easy syncing and I narrowed it down to three: Any.do, Todoist, and Tick Tick. There needed to be a ‘today’ function and the ability to set alerts and things of that nature. I write down a lot of story ideas when out and about. So I delved a bit deeper and looked at ease of use, ability to add sub-tasks and crucially, notes. ![]() I found out that most to-do lists seem to do that, so it wasn’t a lot of help. It must sync across all my devices – two ipads, Samsung Phone, and a Surface Pro. So I looked through the alternatives to find something that at least does the bare minimum I need. It’s almost as if they don’t really give a fuck and just want cash. Now, I have no beef with Microsoft but I already give them money every month and generally find that when a huge company buys a smaller upstart some of the love and care seems to disappear. I am not sure this is a good thing but bollocks to it, I am happy with the pact I signed with technology. Like when I was a kid, I used to remember a dozen phone numbers or more, whereas now that I have a mobile, I can’t even remember my wife’s number. I pretty much ran my life with the aid of Wunderlist to the point where I am now useless at remembering anything. So I did a ton of research, read a few dozen ‘Top 10 to do lists’ and discovered Tick Tick. ![]() I was a huge fan of Wunderlist and was sad when I learned they were shutting down to be replaced by Microsoft To-Do.
